United Way Welcomes new staff
(Bridgeport, CT) September 5, 2006 - United Way of Eastern Fairfield County is pleased to announce the addition of Deborah B. Cooper, Donna L. Pfrommer, and Karen K. Sportini to its staff . The three serve in a variety of capacities within the Community Resource Development team.
Cooper, a Seymour resident, has assumed the position of Database Specialist. As such, she is responsible for ensuring data integrity and accuracy and for providing technical support for electronic campaigns. In addition to her United Way employment, Cooper is an Adjunct Professor at Sacred Heart University, where she teaches two Communications courses. Cooper’s previous work experience includes positions at Sagemark Consulting and Hyperion Solutions. A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Bridgeport, Cooper holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and a Master of Science in Community Counseling from that institution.
Pfrommer, United Way’s Director of Major Gifts, develops and implements strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward major gifts and to help with annual workplace campaigns. Prior to this, Pfrommer, a Trumbull resident, served as a Store Operations Specialist for Talbot’s and as Director of Communications for the Bridgeport Regional Business Council. A Fairfield University marketing graduate, Pfrommer also completed the Leadership Greater Bridgeport training program.
As a Resource Development Professional, Sportini assists in workplace campaigns and other fundraising activities. Most recently, Stratford resident Sportini was a managing member of a start-up company and a freelance writer for the Stratford Star. She is a Fairfield University alumna with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Master of Arts in Communication.
