Christmas Trees Donated to Local Families

Bridgeport, CT December 21, 2006 - Through a partnership
with United Way of Eastern Fairfield County, the Trumbull
Target donated three fully decorated Christmas trees to benefit local families in need. Families from Stratford, Bridgeport and Trumbull benefited.

"Trumbull Target Executive Andrew Marino helps load Christmas trees donated to families in need in the greater Bridgeport region. United Way identified the recipient families through it's Supporting a Caring Community network of providers."

"Cathy Greco from United Way and Lou Perno, executive director of Sterling House, unwrap one of three trees donated by Target and headed to the home of a Stratford family in need. The tree was donated as part of an annual initiative between Target and United Ways across the nation."

"Shyan of Bridgeport and her four siblings couldn't wait to touch this beautiful modern Christmas tree filled with dazzling black and crystal ornaments, including a few perfectly placed penguins!. The tree was donated as part of an annual initiative between Target and United Ways across the nation."

"Ashlee of Trumbull puts the finishing touch on her Christmas tree donated by Target and United Way. One final butterfly to add to an array of butterflies in beautiful hues paired with glistening glass ball ornaments. The tree was donated as part of an annual initiative between Target and United Ways across the nation."



And lives were changed...





Last year, 20 individuals with severe disabilities were able to participate in a Community Experience Program.
