The People’s United Bank United Way of Eastern Fairfield County Campaign

People’s United Bank’s steadfast commitment to the United Way is possible only through the helping hands and hearts of its employees. An important goal of the campaign is to ensure employees have the opportunity to learn about specific United Way programs and initiatives, so that they may better understand how their contributions make a difference. Messages about these programs are delivered face-to-face through division liaisons and leaders, as well as through the bank’s intranet site and other means of internal communication. As the corporate sponsor of the United Way’s Success by 6® early childhood initiative, People’s United takes pride in creating awareness for the program, which helps ready young children for success in school. 

 The bank’s fund-raising campaign is characterized by the strong commitment of both the organization as a whole and the many individuals who take on leadership roles at all levels of support.  From food drives, to book fairs, to dress down days and blood drives, People’s United Bank employees know there are many ways to contribute to the United Way. At the root of the effort is a desire to have an impact on the lives of those who are served by the United Way’s member agencies and organizations in communities throughout the state of Connecticut.
