Millions of Dollars Saved Each Year for Low-Income Families

In partnership with the Greater Bridgeport Family Economic Security Coaltion and through a grant from JPMorgan Chase Foundation, United Way of Eastern Fairfield County is bringing a mobile tax preparation service to low-income workers in the Greater Bridgeport area who may qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit.  In addition to this mobile VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistant) program, there are eleven VITA sites in the area (click HERE for locations).  This mobile VITA program is being piloted with future expansion anticipated next year.  Participating in the pilot are Lacey Manufacturing, Bridgeport Fittings and Hubbell Electric Heaters.  If you are interested in bringing this program to your employees next year, please contact Cathy Greco at 203-339-6304.
