"The Great Street Sweep" of Park Avenue organized by the University of Bridgeport
University volunteers also cleaned up public areas on campus.
A food drive held at the Arena at Harbor Yard provided The Salvation Army of Greater Bridgeport with 1,000 pounds of food to distribute to hungry families.
Volunteers from the City of Bridgeport installed a handicap access ramp at Jewish Family Service. Materials were donated by General Electric. Photos at the right show the beginning of the day and after the ramp was completed.
Cox Radio sponsored a barbeque for Grasmere Eldercare in Fairfield. Volunteers from Cox Radio prepared and served the meal. Clients presented handmade thank you gifts to the volunteers.
Music and Arts Center for Humanity received a fresh coat of paint

The 2002 class of Leadership Greater Bridgeport joined with staff members of
Bridgeport Regional Business Council to prepare the grounds of The Burroughs Community Center for winter.
