Alexis de Tocqueville Society members
Marc & Debbie Breslawsky

Alexis de Tocqueville Society members Marc and Debbie Breslawsky’s extraordinary generosity to United Way is improving lives through our Community Impact initiatives. When asked what about United Way's work strikes a chord in them and garners their continued support, they responded, “ We appreciate the broad based initiatives that are supported by United Way. We are blessed in being able to support others who are less fortunate and who cannot afford some of life's basic necessities. Each initiative is worthwhile in its own right and supports different needs.” Debbie added “I believe that the children are the future of our country, so their education is important. Being involved in de Tocqueville was a real eye opener for me. Previously, I was unaware of the specific outreach programs served by United Way. It is heartwarming to see how so many people are helped by the efforts of United Way.”

Mrs. Breslawsky, who has a Masters Degree in education and another in business, has utilized that learning in careers as an elementary school teacher and as a commercial real estate broker. Her volunteer work includes terms served on the Boards of the National Jewish Medical & Research Center in Denver, Colorado; The Childcare Center in Stamford, Connecticut; and United Way of Eastern Fairfield County, for whom she served as the de Tocqueville Society co-chair. Two of her special projects include Non-tuberculous Myobacteria for which she is a national activist and a support group leader and also the Stock Market where she is a group leader for the Weston Women’s Club Investment Group and an active participant in Assets Plus of Westport. Now retired, Mrs. Breslawsky is able to enjoy some of her many favorite leisure time activities including travel, photography, yoga, skiing, golfing, hiking, biking, and computers.

He was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Imagistics International Inc. from its initial public offering and listing on the New York Stock Exchange  in 2001 until it’s sale to Oce’N.V. in  2005. Previous to this, he was with Pitney Bowes Business Systems. He joined Pitney Bowes in 1980 as Vice President of Market Development.
